HOW

There will be road closures!

Plan in advance & consider public transit.

If you are taking subway, exit at Rosedale station.

Parade Schedule

12:30 – 1:00 PM

All marchers check in and collect parade kits. Marchers will then be led to staging area latest by 1pm.

1:00 – 1:10 PM

Team walks to Parade Staging Area (Aylmer Ave & Yonge St).

All marchers must arrive on time to be included in the parade — late arrivals may not be allowed to join once we move into the staging zone.

1:10 – 1:45 PM

Wait at assigned staging zone until parade begins. It is also a great time for social!

1:45 PM

Final line-up and prep

2:00 PM

Parade kicks off! Shout out our slogan “Queer from the East, Proud and Free!”

Important Info

Come prepared – Pride is a full day event with periods of waiting – please bring your patience & expect to be there until 5:00pm.

🎒 What Should I Prepare?

Dress Code – Anything that allows you express yourself freely. Chinese traditional clothing welcomed.
Sunscreen, water, energy bar, and weather-appropriate gear
There will be standing & walking – please wear comfortable shoes!
Signs, flags, or anything that shows your pride
GPS will also provide banners, pins, and stickers!
Pride will take place rain or shine.

🎒 Who should I contact on the event day if I have question?

Each marcher will be assigned to a group with a designated group lead who will serve as your main point of contact throughout the day. Group assignments and lead names will be shared in advance via WeChat group or email.

If you haven’t joined our WeChat group yet, please check your email inbox for the QR code and instructions to join. Staying connected on WeChat is the best way to receive real-time updates and support on the day of the event!

🎒 What is our slogan and is there anything specific we will do as a group?

Our slogan is “Queer from the east, proud and free!”

During the parade, we’ll play upbeat music to keep the energy high, and every marcher will receive a loud handheld fan to wave, clap, and play along with the rhythm.

🎒 What are the safety rules?

No alcohol or cannabis is permitted during the parade.
Be aware of your surroundings at all times.
Stay mindful of nearby organizers, security personnel, and police officers overseeing the event.
Follow instructions given by any event officials or marshals.
If you see something, say something.
If you notice any safety concern, suspicious activity, or emergency, report it to a GPS group lead if nearby, or notify event security or police directly when it’s safe to do so
